Hi! You may call me elle, /lifelong nap enthusiast, professional lazy bones, and snack devotee. Life was mostly fine (health wise), then life said, “hold my martini darling” and tossed breast cancer into the mix.

I don’t know what is coming, I can’t predict the rollercoaster ahead. All I know is that I’m sitting here, in front of a curtain that’s about to fly open, and probably scream at me, and I’m doing my best to survive it without losing my sense of self.

This blog is my record of the chaos, absurdity, and occasional brilliance of this upcoming year. I’ll also post stuff I try, stuff I hate, stuff that somehow helps. I’ll try to share the days I cry, laugh, and scream into a pillow before falling asleep to face another day.

I am not here to be inspirational, I’m here to be real. I’m here to be loud, I’m here to say; this is happening to me, but isn’t me.

So come with me, if you want. Let’s see what’s ahead in this whole new chapter of my life.

Welcome to Diagnosis BC – breast cancer if you’re nasty.
